Overview

               

The Programmer will create and modify computer programs by converting project requirements into code. Will work closely with others in the company to develop, maintain, and test computer programs.

 

Responsibilities

  • Perform custom programming
  • Generate reports based on specifications
  • Create and edit database queries
  • Support users with computer applications
  • Interpret data for analysis

 

Expectations: 

  1. Ability to write code with minimal supervision
  2. Be our lead & hands-on in house programmer
  3. Rewrite smaller legacy custom programs into newer versions for ongoing compatibility
  4. Help design new larger scale programs while outsourcing to consultants as needed

Working with our IT team: 

  1. Reporting to the Director of IT
  2. Senior business intelligence architect
  3. Networking and System Admins
  4. Two consultants/contractors that know our custom systems well

 

Qualifications

 

7+ years experience in the professional world

 

Must have: 

  • College Degree from an accredited school
  • 5+ years working with one or more of the following: 
    • C, C++, C#, Java, Python, VisualBasic (any variety) 
  • 5+SQL Server/TSQL Experience 

Extremely Beneficial:

  • Viewpoint VISTA Construction Software Exposure/Experience 

Beneficial language/tools: 

  • RESTful
  • ASP.Net Core
  • Crystal Reports/SSRS
  • REACT.js/ANGULAR 

 

Physical

  • Occasionally required to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Regularly required to talk or hear
  • Frequently required to walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms
  • Subject to repetitive use of hands/arms
  • Occasionally required to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, use hands and fingers to handle and feel
  • Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus
  • Will need to be able to perform sedentary to heavy work

Mental

  • Must have the ability to direct others and communicate effectively with other management/ supervision
  • Will need to be able to perform sedentary to heavy work
  • Talking and reading & writing comprehension is necessary for giving and receiving directions to perform work and/or safety policy
  • Ability to use math/complete calculations
  • Must be able to concentrate amid distractions and remember details
  • Ability to use computer, keyboard, telephone and other office devices
