Overview
The Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining, and updating Critical Path Method (CPM) schedules for construction projects using Primavera P6. This position works closely with estimating, project managers & site management to ensure accurate planning and timely completion of all project phases.
Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain master project & proposal schedules using Primavera P6 in collaboration with the Estimator, Project Manager and Superintendent
- Plan and sequence all-construction related activities by assigning logic ties and relationships to reflect accurate project flow
- Perform regular site walks to verify actual progress and collect field data for schedule updates
- Utilize the Primavera P6 Schedule Log to assess schedule health and identify logic errors, open ends, negative float, and other critical issues
- Conduct weekly schedule review meetings with Project Manager/Superintendent to assess progress
- Prepare and distribute updated schedules to field teams as needed to guide construction activities
- Ensure all schedule versions are properly distributed and archived according to the requirements of the Project Manager and client

The Scheduler must have a solid understanding of the following Primavera P6 concepts and tools:
- Critical Path Method (CPM)
- Activity ID and Activity Types
- Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)
- Activity Relationships (FS, SS, FF, SF)
- Activity Codes
- Resources and Labor Units
- Lag
- Total Float and Free Float
- Calendars (Project, Activity, Resource)
- Constraints (Start On, Finish On, Mandatory, )
- Baselines and Variance Analysis
- Data Date and schedule updates
- Budgeted vs. Actuals
- Schedule Log Review
Physical
- Must be able to lift up to 25 , but may occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
- Hearing and comprehension is necessary for giving and receiving directions
- Will need to perform sedentary to heavy work
- Will operate office equipment of all types
- Climb and maintain balance on steel/wood framework, stairs, ladders and scaffolds
- Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects on a frequent basis
- Position may require prolonged bending/twisting, walking, reaching overhead, squatting, sitting or standing and lifting
- Must be able to manipulate and traverse uneven terrain, ladders, and multi-floor buildings with no elevator
- Must be able to walk on uneven surfaces, muddy conditions, loose rock, loose/soft sand,
- Will be exposed to adverse weather conditions (Heat, Cold, Rain, )
- Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus
- Ability to drive cars/trucks as needed
Mental
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively with management/supervision
- Talking and reading & writing comprehension is necessary for giving and receiving directions to perform work and/or safety policy
- Ability to use math/complete calculations
- Work at various tempos, and concentrate amid distractions
