Facilities Site Lead – Houston

Position Summary
The Facilities Site Lead serves as the on-site Facilities representative for Cajun Industries’ Houston campuses. This role is responsible for maintaining safe, efficient, and well-functioning facilities through hands-on maintenance, vendor coordination, and oversight of small projects and site improvements.
The position ensures daily operational needs are addressed while supporting ongoing campus growth, facility improvements, and future expansion initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Site Operations
- Serve as the primary on-site Facilities contact for Houston locations
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, etc.)
- Conduct regular building and site inspections to identify maintenance needs
- Respond to facility service requests and coordinate resolutions
Vendor & Contractor Oversight
- Coordinate and oversee vendors performing work on-site
- Ensure contractor work aligns with Cajun safety expectations and scope requirements
- Verify completion of vendor work and assist with documentation and closeout
Project Coordination
- Support office buildouts, relocations, and space improvements
- Assist with campus expansion projects and equipment installations
- Coordinate furniture moves, minor construction activities, and site upgrades
- Communicate project progress with Facilities leadership
Preventative Maintenance
- Execute and document preventative maintenance programs
- Coordinate specialty service providers (HVAC, fire systems, roofing, etc.)
- Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements
Safety & Compliance
- Maintain safe working conditions across Houston facilities
- Assist with contractor safety coordination
- Support access control, security systems, and building operations
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in commercial facilities maintenance or building operations
- Experience coordinating vendors or managing small facility projects
- Working knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing)
- Ability to work independently while representing the Facilities department
- Strong communication and organizational skills
