Overview
The Human Resources Generalist performs a broad range of human resources responsibilities supporting all employees across the organization, with primary focus in employee relations, employment compliance, HR reporting and analytics, and policy and program administration.
Responsibilities

- Serve as a resource to receive, review, and address employee concerns and complaints, assisting in the investigation and resolution of routine to moderately complex employee relations issues involving both field and office employees
- Document employee relations matters and maintain accurate records of investigations, disciplinary actions, and resolutions
- Provide guidance to supervisors and managers regarding HR policies, employee relations practices, coaching conversations, disciplinary actions, and terminations
- Monitor disciplinary actions and separations to ensure consistency and compliance with company policy
- Ensure employment practices comply with applicable federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations
- Assist in response to HR-related audits (internal and external), subpoenas, and regulatory inquiries for employment records
- Maintain confidentiality and security of employee information and personnel records
- Track and analyze employee relations activity, turnover trends, and exit interview data to identify themes and opportunities for improvement
- Prepare periodic HR reports and summaries for HR leadership and management
- Assist in monitoring HR metrics related to workforce trends, employee relations activity, and retention initiatives
- Support HR leadership in gathering and organizing information needed for HR initiatives, compliance reviews, and internal reporting
- Conduct exit interviews with departing employees and maintain documentation of feedback
- Assist in compiling and summarizing exit interview findings and workforce feedback trends
- Support the administration of employee feedback initiatives such as stay interviews or other employee engagement efforts
- Assist in the development, review, updating, and communication of HR policies, procedures, and employee communications
- Draft employee communications related to HR initiatives, policy updates, and organizational announcements
- Serve as a resource for questions from management and employees concerning HR policies, procedures, and regulations
- Support the communication and implementation of HR programs and initiatives across the organization
- Assist with special HR projects and initiatives as assigned
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
Experience
- 3-5 years of progressively responsible human resources experience with strong exposure to employee relations, HR compliance and HR program administration
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Ability to analyze information and identify trends or themes in employee feedback and HR data
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR information systems
Physical
- Occasionally required to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Regularly required to talk or hear.
- Frequently required to walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms.
- Subject to repetitive use of hands/arms.
- Occasionally required to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, use hands and fingers to handle and feel.
- Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.
- Will need to be able to perform sedentary work.

- Must have the ability to direct others and communicate effectively with other management/ supervision.
- Talking and reading & writing comprehension is necessary for giving and receiving directions to perform work and/or safety policy.
