General Responsibilities
Design, construct, erect, install, and repair structures, fixtures and other items of wood, plywood and wallboard using pneumatic and electric power tools.
The carpenter must have the knowledge and ability to build forms and set forms, read blueprints, advanced layout, use of simon forms, layout of anchor bolts, ability to use level instrument, ability to use transit, ability to tie rebar, build scaffold, finish carpentry work, able to read tape/ruler, set screeds, material takeoff from drawings, install batter boards, safety requirements for building work, and ability to operate pneumatic and electric power tools.

- Must adhere to safety protocol, and work in a drug-free environment
- Must have at least one year of experience in the industrial/commercial construction industry and have a general understanding of the craft work being performed
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively with management/ supervision
- Reading, writing and hearing comprehension is necessary for giving and receiving directions to perform work and/or safety policy
- Will need to be able to perform sedentary to heavy work
- Must have knowledge of safety rules and regulations and learn client and company policy
- Knowledge and understanding of MSDS sheets necessary
- Must be able to manipulate and traverse uneven terrain, ladders, multi-floor buildings with no elevator, pipe bands, vessels and structures

Physical requirements
- Must be able to lift 70 lbs.
- May be required to work at elevated heights
- Will be performing tasks involving physical labor construction projects
- May operate hand and power tools of all types
- Climb and maintain balance on steel/wood framework, stairs, ladders and scaffolds
- Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects on a frequent basis
- Position may require working in all weather conditions; prolonged bending, squatting or standing and lifting
- May assist other craft workers as needed
