Role: The Business Unit Manager of Safety reports to the Director of Corporate Safety and provides safety and health support to their assigned business unit to promote and ensure jobsite compliance with applicable safety regulations. The Business Unit Manager of Safety is responsible for implementing health and safety plans, enforcing policies, assessing risk, and interacting with Business Unit Leadership, Site Management, Client Representatives, as well as Regulatory agencies as required. Additionally, the position is responsible for managing and developing a staff of field safety professionals, managing the incident investigation process, and providing recommendations for continuous improvement.   Responsibilities: - Provide Safety and Health support to the Business Unit they are assigned to and assists leadership in ensuring that Cajun's work is meeting or exceeding all industry, regulatory, and company-related programs, policies, and procedures. - Evaluating practices, procedures, and jobsites to assess risk and adherence to the law, company, and client policy. - Identifies opportunities to minimize workplace injuries, accidents, and health problems. - Coordinates the administration and facilitation of employee training on applicable safety standards. - Reviews safety plans and recommends revisions, improvements, and updates. - Conducts safety inspections and audits to assess employee compliance with safety regulations and ensures all required safety training is completed.
