Marine Superintendent

The Marine Superintendent is a field management position responsible for project execution and the financial outcome of the project.

 

Qualifications:

  • Most importantly believe in safety and the safety of employees and be willing to accept Cajun’s strong safety culture
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing marine projects with multiple rig barges and crews
  • Experience in large and small pile driving, heavy rigging, and mild carpentry/concrete work
  • Strong crane, rigging and safety background.
  • Ability to read and understand an estimate and schedule
  • Ability to make a 3 week look ahead
  • Knowledge of pile splicing and welding procedures
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Understand the importance of building and maintaining a good client relationship
  • Willing to train and coach employees
  • Understand and believe in quality craftsmanship
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to travel
  • Pre-employment drug screen and physical

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Administer safety at project level & ensure compliance with industry safety standards
  • Supervise and develop craft personnel and crews into well-led teams
  • Schedule work and equipment
  • Develop and implement operational work plans
  • Assure quality control and compliance
  • Responsible for onsite project cost
  • Manage materials and equipment
  • Client relations
  • Coordinate subcontractors and oversee their interface with project activities including safety
