Overview    The Laborer performs manual labor tasks associated with many facets of the construction job site. Responsible for producing high quality work, safely and productively at all times, and providing feedback to ensure all materials, tools, equipment and information is available for the work. Looks for opportunities for improvement in all tasks, means and methods regarding the work, and is willing to learn from others. Overview   The Tack Welder will ensure tack welds are made strong enough to sustain the stressors affecting them.  Will hold in place the assembled components, complement the function of a fixture and permit the assembly removal from it if necessary. Controls and contrasts component movement and distortion of the structure during welding, and temporarily ensures the assembly’s mechanical strength when hoisted, moved, manipulated or overturned, if designed for that purpose.  Must possess the ability to set up equipment and weld either pipe, plate or structural steel using arc, gas-shielded arc, or gas welding equipment. Will obtain certification as necessary. Must learn and understand all safety hazards related to the work and also learn to safely and effectively use or operate work related tools and equipment.
